Travelling past Lanseria airport and past the Hartebeespoortdam either early in the morning so that we are in time for the Cheetah run OR the 08h00 guided tour. Alternatively there is also an afternoon tour that we can join. After the guided tour we return to Johannesburg.
Cheetah run and 3 hour guided tour – only at 08h00 (departure time is 06h30 from Johannesburg)
Children need to be 1.2m or taller to be able to attend, should your little one be shorter please see our family tour option.
You will be welcomed by our knowledgeable guides at reception, complimentary tea & coffee is available while you wait for your tour to begin. We start off by proceeding to our Cheetah run area, where we have a pulley system that is approx 100 m long. Our Cheetahs love this as it is a form of enrichment and exercise for them. This is a photographers dream, and truly breath taking to witness the speeds that these remarkable animals can reach.
A walk down ambassador lane and a short educational video about the Centre and the founder Ann Van Dyk will be up next.
After the video, you will meet our lovey lady Honey Badger – Amapajama, as well as our family of Meerkats. They will all most certainly leave a smile on your face.
We then depart for our tour around the farm where you are able to see and learn about the many different animals we have here, such as, Caracal, Serval, Vultures and some of our plains game that roam around, Impala and Nyala. To top this all you will have the opportunity to go through our Cheetah and Wild Dog drive through camps where you will be able to see them eat.
A KING CHEETAH is also on the list of animals you will have the opportunity of viewing 🙂 Each of our animals has their own unique story. Let us share them with you.
To end off your tour take a stroll around our curio shop and find some interesting artifacts for you to take with you to remember your time shared with us.
