Delight in this 5-day itinerary that explores the wonders of Cape Town, South Africa’s Mother City, and one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Have your camera at the ready at all times. Whether you are exploring the city center, taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, driving along the Atlantic or Indian Ocean coastlines, visiting the Cape Point Nature Reserve, watching the antics of African penguins on Boulders Beach, or savoring the Constantia vineyards’ finest offerings, you are guaranteed a feast of views. You will have a full day to explore the natural wealth of Cape Point and the Cape Point Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Flying Dutchman Funicular railway link runs from the reserve’s car park to the upper lighthouse – a great way to take in the splendid views. The strong ocean surge at Cape Point is a reminder that this is the most South Western point of The African Continent. The reserve is also a place of wonderful diversity, with fine examples of the region’s unique fynbos vegetation, signature animals and birds. No visit to the Mother City would be complete without some time exploring the flat-topped summit of Table Mountain (weather permitting) or spending time in the City Bowl that lies in the amphitheatre created by the mountain tableau of Devil’s Peak, Table Mountain, and Lion’s Head.
