Here is your chance to experience the majestic Victoria Falls as you travel through Zambia and Botswana. Departing from Johannesburg in the morning, to a boat cruise on the Zambesi river. Quite a change in scenery I must say and also enjoy the guided walk of the falls and then Botswana’s Chobe National Park at the Elephant Valley Lodge close to Chobe. Experience a safari in Africa and see our wildlife. This is an amazing tour.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) and height of 108 metres (354 ft), resulting in the world’s largest sheet of falling water.
Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and the major waterfall on the Zambezi River in Africa. It is famous for being the largest waterfall in the world, in the wet season. The African people who live around the falls call it Mosi-oa-Tunya which means “smoke that thunders”.
Today you will board your flight at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg for our flight to the Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to the A’Zambezi River Lodge where you will spend (2) nights in twin standard rooms on a bed & breakfast basis.
In the afternoon you will be collected for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River including drinks (beer and wine) and light snacks. Transfer to the jetty for a cruise along the Upper Zambezi in the late afternoon. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River in relaxation, with local wines, beers, soft drinks and snacks served during the trip. This trip often offers a magnificent chance to witness a spectacular African sunset. Cruise back to the jetty for transfer back to the hotel after sunset.
