Best known for its vast wilderness areas and include, the plains of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater with game drives that boast the Big 5. Also, Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain is a sight you have to experience. Off shore, the sun embraces the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with Arabic influences, and Mafia, with a marine park home to whale sharks and colourful coral reefs. Game drives are done in Tarangire NP, Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.
Arusha – You will be met by your naturalist Ranger /Guide / Driver (your name on a board) and transferred by road from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Town (+- 1 hour drive).
Overnight: Kahawa House on Bed & Breakfast Basis. Dinner available.
Depart with your host and picnic-lunch to Tarangire National Park for Game Drives. Overnight: Burunge Tented Lodge on Full Board basis.
In the morning guided bush walk to Lake Burunge. Continue with picnic-lunch to Lake Manyara National Park for Game Drives. With the Lake on its east and the Manyara escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breath taking views and a large variety of habitats – acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. In the afternoon we continue to Karatu to visit the market and surroundings.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House, Farm House Valley or Tloma Lodge on Full Board Basis
After breakfast depart with picnic-lunch to Central Serengeti. The drive leads through Ngorongoro Highlands with a stop at Olduvai Gorge to visit the Museum. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp on Full Board Basis
Morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is considered perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra.
Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati on Full Board Basis.
In the morning depart with picnic-lunch to Ngorongoro Crater. We drive down into the Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Local wildlife includes black manned lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal, and hyena. In the afternoon continue to Karatu.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House, Farm House Valley or Tloma Lodge on Full Boaard Basis
Return to Arusha by road and drop‐off at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
