Situated in a leafy suburb of Rivonia, Liliesleaf farm was a hideaway for freedom fighters during the apartheid era. Nelson Mandela here frequently stayed and met others of the top structures of the liberation movement. One can spend quite a few hours at this museum that is well managed, informative and quite modern in its design.
Opened in 2008 the Goldberg family were intensely involved from the apartheid era until today. Recognized as one of South Africa’s heritage sites uses Nelson Mandela as it’s vocal point to capture the history of this place and to present it to you in digital, video and visual format.
